Average 7 inch budget tablet from Samsung

Colour Name: Cream White

Build Quality : Quite Good. The back panel is matte finished giving it good grip.
Display : Below average. This has a low 1024 x 600 pixels resolution display which suffers from poor viewing angles.
Storage : 8 GB internal memory,of which you would get around 4GB of usable storage. Micro sdcard slot is there.
Camera : Poor 2MP Fixed Focus Rear camera and NO front camera.

Processor and Ram : This is powered by a Dual-core 1.2 GHz,Marvell PXA986 chipset which is not a power house,and the overall UI lags a bit. Samsung's Touchwiz UI on top of Android 4.2 Jellybean runs the show which is quite heavy comparing to the stock Android. Android 4.4 Kitkat update is not expected.

There is a 3G sim slot,and Voice calling is supported. There is also a Wifi only variant.

Price while reviewing - Rs 11000
Verdict : A Samsung tablet for such a low price may attract many. The main issue with this device is the display,which is a TFT one with a low resolution and bad viewing angles. The performance of the device is also not that great. Dell Venue 7,priced almost similar comes with a better processor and more ram making it a better buy than this. There are many other tabs from indian manufacturers too offering better overall performance.

For 8700/- this is the best deal you can have.......that is.....is you, like me use a desktop PC and need Internet while movin......better than those overhyped, overpriced cellphones whose tiny screen makes your eyes pop out. The apps are running fine as of now) ad at 720p.....the video clarity is decent enough....overall...one of Samsung's better products

Was looking for a replacement for my netbook and looking at options of low end laptop mainly for Internet and some basic office modules when i stumbled across this tab. Did much R&D of other models before buying tab 3, as I found tab4 over priced. Paid 11200. Of cos it met all expectations for that cost and am hooked onto it. A few negatives are absence of front camera, no flash and slightly low volume if using outdoors. The best advantage I found is that I could insert the sim card of my 3 Internet dongle directly and access the net. Voice call, voice commands, swype keyboard of Samsung products, excellent display for net, video and ebooks and easily held and used worth one hand. I found whatever i was lookinh for in this. Absolute vfm and really glad of the buy. Packing and delivery were superb and fast. The warranty card isn't stamped, but the original bill was provided, with tax. Strongly recommended.
