Was there ever a battle between Jarasandha & Bhishma? If not, who would have won had such a confrontation taken place?

His son, Sahadeva, the new Magadha King was however slain by Bhishma during the Kurukshetra war. Sahadeva was one of the seven generals in the Pandava army.
Ans 2 >>>To answer the hypothetical question. Jarasandha fought with brute force. He was a wrestler while Bhishma was a warrior who used the bow and arrow. A duel between these two would be a difficult one to imagine. If Bhishma had the knowledge of how to slay Jarasandha i.e. by cutting him in half and throwing each half in opposite directions, he could have done so using his arrows as he was one the greatest archers.
In my opinion, Bhishma would win if there was a duel between him and Jarasandha.
